Sandia Lightwave, Inc. is a full service inside and outside plant, underground, aerial and LAN communications cabling, wireless, security and video sales and service organization that has been proudly installing cabling systems throughout New Mexico since 1987. SLI is locally owned and operated by Paula Marshall, President and Terry Marshall, Vice President. SLI offers a comprehensive management team with a wide variety of knowledge and skills.
Sandia Lightwave, Inc.’s team of certified designers and installers utilize the “Standards for Building and Campus Distribution Systems”, 2005 NEC Code Book and BICSI 10th Edition Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual when installing projects to ensure compliance with current standards for building and campus distribution as well as state and local codes. All SLI employees are manufacturer-trained and are continuously educated through advanced seminars to help them maintain a solid knowledge base. The entire SLI team is exceptionally skilled in Fiber Optic, Category 3, Category 5 and 5E and Category 6 cable and wireless installations. Our dedicated and experienced employees can competently perform a multitude of tasks. Project Managers and Lead Technicians are always on site during the entire execution of a project. SLI believes that the successful completion of an installation should not signal the end of our commitment to our clients. SLI’s desire is to formulate a long term relationship with each and every client.

SLI has held the Telecommunications Contract with the City of Albuquerque since 1996 and has provided extensive Cat-5, Cat-6 and Fiber Optic cabling and wireless installations since that time. Some of these projects include the Balloon Museum, Art Museum, APD Crime Lab, Explora Science Center and Children’s Museum, 911 Command Center, Emergency Operations Center, and Rental Car Return Facility.
SLI was awarded the Premise Distribution Systems Contract for the State of New Mexico in 2004 and has provided installations for the Natural History Museum, Albuquerque Government Center and Governor’s Office.
SLI has also been installing work for companies such as Public Service Company of New Mexico, Bohannan Huston, SAIC, Northrop Grumman, Santa Fe Institute, and Santa Fe Preparatory School for many years, just to name a few.
SLI understands the importance of high quality installations that are completed on time and within budget. The SLI team is always willing to do whatever it takes to get the job completed. If an emergency arises, the SLI team can provide a quick response to any situation, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
Upon completion of each project, SLI provides proof that all specifications have been met. Proof is provided through either printed documentation or electronic media, produced by the latest testing equipment, the Fluke DTX 1800, manufacturer approved UTP and Fiber Cable Tester. Testing is done to comply with manufacturer requirements with the most recent testing parameters. SLI’s combination of high standards and quality workmanship allow us to offer our customers manufacturer warranties in lengths from 10 years to lifetime, based on product and application.
